Mruna slid through the shadows, her fur blending in perfectly with the shade. The only hint that she was there were her bright blue eyes. She scented the air, tasting the forest. Dew...young ferns...a few other wolves, stale, Sunpack...Rabbit! Her ears pivoted in the direction of the scent, catching the rustling of the prey. Her large paws muted her momvement. At the last moment she darted forward, snapping her jaws down on teh rabbit. It's limp body swung as Mruna slowed to a hault. Proud with her first catch in a new pack she sat down and began tearing into the rabbit.

Suahara lyed down in the hot, humid, camp. She needed to get some shade... and FOOD!. Suhara looked at the fresh-kill pile. It was empty..... "I guess I'm gonna hunt." Suhara spoke to herself. Suhara races out of camp into the woods.
Suhara stepped silently and smelled the air. hmmmmmmm rabits.... BORING! Deer...... just fresh! . Suhara quickly raced to the scent quietly and stopped to see a whole herd of deer. Suhara looked for a fawn or a weak one. She saw a crippled deer that could barley walk. It was set aside from the rest of the herd.
Suhara ran twords the heard. While most of them made a break for it, the crippled deer stayed still, knowing it was her turn to go..... Suhara bit the deer in the neck, and it was all over.
Not to far away, Suhara saw Maruna eating a rabbet. suhara raced over to her and sat down to eat Suhara's first ,meal in days. Suhara managed to speak, "Hello Maruna!"

Mruna looked up from her catch, and scrambled to her feet when she realized it was Suhara. She bowed her head and kept her tail low. "Greetings Suhara." She said, losing the stiff position and grinning at her leader. "Nice catch. A bit large for you though." Mruna said, trying not to sound rude. As far as she knew there weren't any pup-bearers or sick in the pack. And that Suhara had gone after the deer on her own baffled Mruna.
She shook her big head. "Sorry. Suppose we were just raised differently." Mruna shrugged, and bent down to take another bite of her juicy rabbit. A bug landed on her ear and she flicked it away, wondering if the warm weather was such a blessing if bugs were going to be about. The warm air seemed to cling to Mruna's thick, dark fur. Luckily the soft swish of running water could be heard, so she knew she wouldn't be hot for long.
"I'm going for a swim. Do you want to come?" Mruna's blue eyes blinked up hopefully at Suhara. She didn't want to have to have fun alone.

Suhara ate the deer. She set it aside so the rest of the pack could have a bite. "Okay, I'd love to, Mruna!" Smiled Shuhara as she got up. Suhara streched out her paws, legs and back. She loved swimming, but she needed to stretch so she diddn't hurt any of her musles while swimming. She learned the hard way...

Mruna started off towards the sound of running water, ears pivoting randomly, following whatever she heard. Her pace was leisurly, but they soon reached the river. Mruna barked happily and leapt straight in, splashing Suhara. When she popped back up she smiled foolishly.
"Oops! So sorry!" She apologized, submerging most of her head, so that only her ears, eyes, and nose above water. She started paddling around, rejoicing as the cool water freed her from the heat. "I can't wait until Cold-sky. It's a bit to warm right now."

"That's okay!" Smiled Suhara. "I like being wet!" Without thinking for another second, Suhara leaped in the deep, blue, water. The water was just right in temprature. Suhara laughed and went up to the surface. Suhara swam and dived in again and try to catch some juicy fish for the pack.

Mruna dove beneath the surface, pddling agianst the light current. At the floor of the river she picked up a stick. With powerful paws she resurfaced, and swam back to shore. Carefully Mruna placed the stick on a rock where the river wouldn't wash it away. She could get it when they left.
